The druids of the Cenarion Circle are an ancient sect who strive to preserve the balance of nature. They possess powerful magic and healing spells as well as the ability to shapeshift into various animal forms. The druid is a hybrid class, making it a jack of all trades, but a master of none.

Class Role:
The Druid has three potential roles in a group. When in their normal, biped form, they act well as a healer and can give support in the form of buffs and debuffs; they also have limited crowd control against dragons. Their Bear form gives them offensive and defensive power enough to step up to a monster and take the hits (we're looking into aggro management for the form). In Cat form, the Druid becomes a damage dealer. This trio of roles in one class gives the Druid a diverse feel and allows them to perform nearly any role perceived as "needed" in a party.

Strengths:

  • Can transform into various animal forms which provide unique abilities
  • Early access to fast travel prior to mount being available
  • Can heal and resurrect others during battle
  • Can shapeshift out of snares and out of Polymorph
  • Possesses a powerful buff that's beneficial to all classes


Weaknesses:
  • Animal forms are not as powerful as their counterpart classes
  • Restricted to wearing cloth and leather armor
  • Cannot use all items or spells while in the various animal forms


Eligible Races: Night Elf, Tauren

Standard Bars: Health/Mana (Druid form/Aquatic form), Health/Rage (Bear form), Health/Energy (Cat form)

Armor: Cloth, Leather

Weapons: Staves, Maces (with training), Daggers (with training),
Unarmed Weapons (with training)

Suitable Professions: A good combination of professions for a druid is Skinning and Leatherworking. Skinning is a good way to gather material for profit and for use in Leatherworking. Since leather is as far as druids can go you will be able to create good equipment for yourself. Herbalism and Alchemy is another good combo for druids because druids start off with a 15 points bonus to their herbalism ability.
