HUNTER

Also see: Hunter Spells, Talent Build Suggestions

Hunters are at one with nature. They have honed their survival skills in the wild and from this learned to befriendnd beasts to then use as partners in combat. Hunters are primarily long range fighters, excelling with a bow or a gun. As well as animals they use traps that are triggered when an enemy walks by it which helps the hunter keep their distance.

Class Role
The Hunter is a vicious damage dealer. With their ability to pull extremely well and hit monsters hard from far away, they certainly help take down monsters more quickly. Their pets add to the damage count and can aid somewhat in managing monster aggro. The variety of traps allows the Hunter to control crowds to an extent, as well. The combination of their extreme range, decent damage, and trap capability, Hunters are the perfect pullers for any group.

Strengths:

  • Can tame and control various beasts
  • Excellent long range damage capability
  • Good at preventing enemies from fleeing
  • Effective at pulling monsters in dungeons and raids
  • Great crowd control abilities thanks to traps that cause damage, slow or even freeze enemies

Weaknesses:

  • Possesses very few melee abilities
  • Has a "Dead Zone" where neither ranged nor melee attacks can be used
  • Unable to heal self or party members

Fishing + Cooking - get this if you are in a need of an alternative source of food for your Pets. Those professions are secondary which means you are not limited to picking just two of them. You can have them all if you wish.
