MAGE SPELLS


Mages have the choice to either specialize in one school of magic or master them all. Limiting yourself to only one type of magic is preferred. Mages have the most devastating spells from all the classes. They only lack armor due to the fact they are limited to wearing Cloth only. They compensate for that in various ways.

Amplify Magic - Raises the magical effects used on a friendly target, increasing both damage and healing effects against them. Dampen Magic - Lowers the magical effects used against a friendly target, decreasing both damage and healings effects towards them. Arcane Intellect - Increases the target's Intellect for 30 minutes. Arcane Brilliance - (book) Casts highest level Arcane Intellect on the party, lasting 1 hour. Arcane Explosion - Causes arcane damage to all enemies within 10 yards Arcane Missiles - Channels several volleys of arcane missiles at the target. Arcane Power - (talent) Spells deal 35% more damage at a 35% increased mana cost for 15 seconds. Blink - teleports the mage 20 yards forward, freeing them of immobilizing effects Conjure Food - Conjures several items of consumeable food Conjure Water - Conjures several bottles of drinkable water Conjure Mana *Jewel* - Creates a small jewel which can be consumed to instantly restore mana Counterspell - Counters the enemy's spellcasting, preventing any spell from being cast in that school for 10 seconds. Detect Magic - Detects beneficial magics on a target for 2 minutes. Evocation - (talent) While channeling, increases mana regeneration by 1500% for 8 seconds. Mage Armor - Increases resistance to all schools of magic by a certain amount as well as allowing a certain percent of mana regeneration to continue while casting. Mana Shield - Uses mana to absorb physical damage, lasts 1 minute or until damage limit is reached. Polymorph - Changes the target into a sheep, preventing it from attacking or casting but regenerating them quickly for a set time or until damaged. Portal: *City* - Creates a portal to one of Stormwind, Iron Forge, or Darnassus for Alliance or Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff or Undercity for Horde that is useable by party members. Teleport: *City* - Teleports the mage to one of Stormwind, Iron Forge, or Darnassus for Alliance or Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff or Undercity for Horde Presence of Mind - The next spell with a cast time under 10 seconds will be instant-cast. Remove Lesser Curse - Removes a curse from the target. Slow Fall - Slows falling speed for 20 seconds.

Blast Wave - (talent) A ring of fire blasts ourwards from the mage, damaging those surrounding with fire damage and dazing them for several seconds. Combustion - (talent) Gives your next Fire spell a 100% critical strike chance. Fire Blast - Instant-cast fire damage. Fire Ward - A shield that absorbs fire damage. Fireball - Deals fire damage, as well as damage over time. Flamestrike - Does area-of-effect damage as well as damage-over-time to surrounding targets. Pyroblast - (talent) Deals immense fire damage as well as damage-over-time. Scorch - A quick fire attack.
  
  Frost (needs to be ported to the wiki!)
Blizzard - Channels ice damage to an area for 8 seconds. Cold Snap - (talent) Finishes the cooldown on all Frost spells. Cone of Cold - Targets in the arc in front of the mage are hit with Frost damage as well as being slowed for 8 seconds. Frost Armor - Increases armor and gives the chance for an enemy to have their movement and attack speed slowed when striking the mage. Frost Nova - A ring of ice spreads from the mage, dealing damage and trapping targets hit to the ground for 8 seconds or until enough damage has been done. Frost Ward - Absorbs Frost damage. Frost Bolt - A missile that deals Frost damage in addition to slowing movement speed for 9 seconds. Ice Barrier - (talent) A shield that absorbs damage in addition to preventing spellcasting interruptions while it holds. Ice Block - (talent) Become encased in a block of ice for 10 seconds, impervious to attack or spells but also unable to move or attack.
