The virtuous paladin are an exclusive to the Alliance and provide their protection and blessings wherever they go. They are sturdy and able to take the greatest of damage as well as providing healing and protective roles.

Class Role
Paladins are the consummate knights in shining armor, meant to be in the thick of things. Their ability to wear mail and plate armor allows them to stand toe to toe with monsters and take a beating. This is not the sole purpose of a Paladin, of course; their auras, seals, heals and resurrection spells also make them excellent support healers.

Strengths

• Can wear the heaviest of armors and use most weapons
  
• Can heal party members and resurrect others after battle
  
• Can cast Auras and Blessings that provide useful buffs for other players
  
• Can learn to summon a Warhorse mount at no cost
  
• Can sacrifice themselves for the sake of the party to prevent a total group wipe

Weaknesses

• Heavily dependant on mana for offensive and defensive abilities
  
• No ranged capabilities, except to stop wounded opponents from fleeing
  
• Limited abilities with which to draw enemy attacks

Armor: Cloth, Leather, Mail, Plate (from trainer at level 40)
Weapons: One- and Two-handed Maces, One- and Two-handed Swords (with training), One- and Two-handed Axes, Polearms (with training)

Suitable Professions
Mining and Blacksmithing is a good combination that many warriors and paladins alike choose . It's good if you want to be able to make your own armor but Blacksmithing gets rather expensive at some point and might not always be worth the effort. Mining is perfect for gaining money fast, selling stacks of refined ore in the Auction House is a quick way to get more money.
Herbalism and Alchemy is also a nice combo, I've seen a lot of paladins with it. You will be able to produce buff potions for you and other people, sell them in the auction house to gain money. Herbs are not very easy to collect at the beginning but once you get to know more about the game as a whole it will become easier.
