[edit] In-Game

Humans are very flexible characters. While many people think they are not specialists at anything, they can still master many roles. Their flexibility is so great that beginning players can easily settle into this race.

[edit] Racial Traits

Perception:

Humans have become very good at peering in the shadows around them to see what lies hidden, mainly because they have made so many enemies.

Activate Perception to increase your stealth detection radius by 10 yards. This lasts 20 seconds and has a 3 minute cooldown.

This is very useful either against another Player or a NPC so you can reveal the stealthed.

The Human Spirit:

All humans receive an extra Spirit Stat to their Base Stats this incrases your health and mana regeneration times.

Very useful if you are taking blows or simply resting. This is an asset to every human regardless of class.

Diplomacy:

Humans have a gift to establish long relationships with others. Therefore, their Faction reputation gain is increased by 10%.

A faster reputation gain means it will be quicker to receive items and crafting recipes from other races.

Sword and Mace Specialization:

Humans are fine swordsman's and mace-wielders, this shows with their extra +5 to their maximum skill for Swords, Two-Handed Swords, Maces and Two-Handed Maces.

If you are willing to put in the training time, the increased maximum skill will increase your chances of hitting your target and your chances of getting a critical strike.

[edit] Starting Location

All Humans will start in an area with in Elwynn Forest named Northshire. Places like Northshire Abbey and Vineyards are found in this Valley. Patrolling Northshire are low level wolves and Koboolds, both of whic are neutral and won't attack on sight.

[edit] Brief History

The noble humans of Stormwind are a proud, tenacious race. Though the recent invasion of the Undead Scourge and demonic Burning Legion decimated their sister kingdom of Lordaeron, the defenders of Stormwind have stood vigilant against any who would threaten the sancity of their lands. Nestled inthe foothills of Elwynn Forest, Stormwind city is one of the last bastions of human power in the world. Ruled by the child-king Anduin Wrynn, the people of Stormwind remain steadfast in their commitment to the Grand Alliance. Backed by their stalwart allies, the armies of Stormwind have been called away to fight the savage Horde on distant battlefields. With armies gone, the defense of Stormwind falls to its proud citizens. You must defend the kingdom against foul mongrels that encroach upon it and hunt down the subversive traitors who seek to destroy it from within. Now is the time for heroes; now Humanity's greatest chapter can be written.

Humans once lived a nomadic life in tribes wandering from place to place as the seasons changed or the hunting became lean. It wasn't till the rise of Arathi that they began to form within one nation. They founded the fortified city of Storm and, as they grew, so did they gain the attention o the High Elves who, like them, were suffering brutal attacks from Trolls. As allies, they beat back the Trolls and the High Elges began to teach their new found friends the ways of magic. With time, the humans also came into contact with the Dwarves, and, while the Dwarves were initially unsure of these strange new people, they developed a strong bond of friendship.

Over the years, the region of Loredaeron grew so large that it fractured into smaller kingdoms, each with its own beliefs, government and lifestyle. The humans began to outstrip their teachers in the use of magic, which alarmed their High Elf friends. The same corruption that had filled the world before was becoming evident. To combat this problem, the Council of Silvermoon joined with the Magocrat Lords of Arathor in a pact. They formed a secret order called the Guardians of Tirisfal. The Guardians sought to protect the world from the onslaught of demons of the Burning Legion should they return. This legacy came to an end when the Guardian made a terrible misjudgement in her power and slew an avatar of the Demon Lord Sargeras a bit to easily. She then took his body and secreted it away where none could find it. However, Sargeras was too clever and instead hid his spirit inside her, later implanting his essence into her unborn child who would one day be the inheritor of her powers.

[edit] Roleplaying Tips

Because of their ability to live anywhere, humans are as varied as the gaming world itself. While many are loyal citizens and defenders of Stormwind, there are those who are willing only o protect themselves. This race is an easy role to get into.
